The new Subaru Forester Hybrid has an enhanced powertrain that grants Ligonier drivers improved fuel efficiency and 194 total system hp. The powertrain is paired with a Lineartronic® CVT (continuously variable transmission) and is assisted by a high-capacity lithium-ion battery.
In addition to the improved powertrain, all Subaru Forester Hybrid trims come standard with Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, a new 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and an 11.6-inch multimedia system with navigation capabilities. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility also comes standard, as does wireless device charging.

The 2.5L 4-cylinder SUBARU BOXER® engine has been optimized for hybrid use to such a degree that the EPA estimates you can drive the new Subaru Forester Hybrid up to 581 miles on a single tank. This represents a 40% increase in fuel efficiency compared to the conventional gas-powered Forester and translates to a formidable 35 city / 34 highway / 35 combined mpg*.
